First Days Of A New Real Estate Career

Congratulations! You just passed your Real Estate Exam and are ready to start your new real estate career! Now What?

First you have to pick which company you want to work for and that in turn is where your license will hang.  Picking the real estate company you will work for is a whole other blog post [Which Real Estate Company Is Right For Me] I choose to work with Realty One Of New Mexico. And I think “work with” is the correct terminology versus “work for”. In Realty One I am working with Mary Ann Campbell’s Red Fox team hence the name Erik The Red Fox. Taking a spin off of Erik The Red the Norwegian Viking and the Realty One of New Mexico Red Fox team.

Unlike other teams this one isn’t as monetarily defined as some other brokerages but more of a team of motivated individuals with the same common goal. That goal is to be one of the best Realtors serving Albuquerque NM and the rest of the state of New Mexico.

The next step is to make sure you have your errors and omissions insurance, registered with GAAR (Greater Albuquerque Association of Realtors), & Flex MLS (multiple listing service) setup. From here on out you are an official “Realtor”  have the insurance you need to actually have a client and the tools to accurately and quickly search the available homes listed in Albuquerque as well as the capability to list homes in Albuquerque.

Looking back now you see that everything up till now have been the easy part, sure it takes time and studying but there is a structure to follow and the path to the foothill of the mountain is shown before us. Once at the base the mountain looks far more challenging and hold many more unknowns then everything before.

Are you ready for your new real estate career?
